Texas Association of Regional Councils' update on COVID-19
What an unexpected time in our lives. TARC is actively engaged in many workgroups and discussions here in Austin and with many of you surrounding COVID-19 and the coronavirus. We have been in contact with many state agencies and continue to monitor and submit questions on behalf of regional councils.
The impact from the extreme cold during the week of February 15, 2021 will reverberate for months.  FEMA and other agencies will be allocating recovery monies to those hit the hardest.  Our region MUST convey the damages we've incurred or risk being left in the cold when funding is released.  This is particularly true for rural areas.

9-1-1 Network
The Council maintained its ongoing efforts in providing 9-1-1 services in its 11 county region, State Planning Region 20 during calendar year 2018. This work was accomplished with funding for a two-year period under a contract with the Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC).
